Elysium Systems Engineer

Department: Elysium Professional Services

Status: Exempt

Report to: Director of Implementations

Summary Description:

Systems Engineers work with customers to assist in implementing Axolotl's products for delivery of clinical information over the Web or private networks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for all Systems Engineers:

  • Achieve an excellent understanding of Axolotl's products and healthcare industry standards.
  • Participate on customer implementation teams
  • Installation and configuration of Axolotl software at customer sites
  • Providing Elysium support assistance for internal and external customers using our products
  • Assisting customers to address issues that arise with their Elysium operations
  • Provide technical analyses to solve customer problems and work with Axolotl's development team to develop solutions to address customers' needs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in implementing web based applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical skills; background in Domino/Notes Administration essential
  • The individual must work well independently
  • Experience in the healthcare industry a plus

Senior Elysium System Engineer

Summary Description:

Responsible for coordinating implementations of Axolotl products at customer locations as well as providing ongoing technical account management to customers. Click here to get a printout of this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help Axolotl's Technical Operations team to troubleshoots and solve customer problems.
  • Manage the logistics of the implementation process for Axolotl products at client sites.
  • Provide technical account management to customers. Work with customers to ensured technical issues are addressed in a timely and thorough fashion. Other responsibilities include evaluating the special needs of the client, providing statement of work and requirement documents, project planning and coordinating activities and issue lists.
  • Act as liaison with hospital staff, development team, and implementation team.
  • Perform promotion and sales duties for existing accounts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technical skills, background in Windows and Lotus Domino/Notes helpful.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Project and team management experience.

Manager Customer Support

Department: Customer Services

Report to: Vice President – Customer Services

Summary Description:

Manage a Customer Support department that provides first and second line 24x7 support to Healthcare Facilities utilizing companies Health Information Exchange products and services as well as support a team of medical transcriptionists. Ideal candidate must be able communicate in both written and verbally to external and internal customers. This is a senior position and leadership qualities are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a 24x7 staff support department, ensuring all shifts are scheduled including holidays and people out on PTO
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding high priority issues or issues they would like escalated
  • Find root causes of outages and incidents and create policies/procedures that will prevent the problem in the future
  • Triage and assign incoming tickets to support team members for second line research
  • Review open tickets with staff members to insure timely responses and resolution on assigned tickets within the dept
  • Work with team members to insure that tickets are appropriately escalated to other departments with the required information
  • Review daily assigned tasks checklist for completion
  • Educate staff members on troubleshooting techniques and procedures
  • Communicate outages and incidents to customers
  • Review open tickets with customers
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly board reports
  • Review closed tickets and mark them billable when appropriate. Provide accounting with a report of all closed tickets including billable hours at the end of the month

Requirements:

  • College degree in a technical discipline or extensive relevant experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Must Understand Healthcare work flow and process
  • Minimum two years of management experience with progressive career growth

  • Design and develop new product features and enhancements, following standard development process.
  • Provide engineering services to customers. Understand and analyze customer technical requirements and environments; and develop software solutions to address their needs.
  • Troubleshoot and solve customer technical problems raised by Axolotl's technical operations team.

Senior Software Security Engineer

Department: Research and Development

Report to: Director, Research and Development

Summary Description:

Design and develop a comprehensive security infrastructure for our web based applications. This comprises the authentication, authorization, attack mitigation, user identity federation, and consent challenges that we face in our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve an excellent understanding of Axolotl's web based healthcare applications.
  • Lead the architecture, design and coding of authentication and AC modules that include RBAC, patient privacy XACML consent, and federated user identify processing.
  • Participate in design, code, and documentation reviews.
  • Participate in Healthcare IT standards committees specifically in the area of security related topics.
  • Analyze customer requirements and market needs.
  • Train and mentor other Software Engineers and Customer Service Engineers on security (both vulnerabilities and security infrastructure) topics.
  • Keep up to date on all forms of application security vulnerabilities as pertaining to our full product suite.
  • Make recommendations on allowable open ports, services in production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and solve customer technical problems raised by Axolotl's technical operations team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years commercial software development experience.
  • Solid background on both authentication systems and authorization schemes.
  • Understanding of the following key security technologies: LDAP (experience with a few directories), WS-Security, XACML, SAML, PDP and PEP, Digital Signatures, User Certificates, PKI, TLS/SSL, RBAC, Two-Factor Authentication
  • Strong experience in web services security.
  • Excellent understanding of code, web and network level attacks.

Senior Business Intelligence Engineer


Department: Research and Development

Summary Description: Responsible for developing enhancements to all areas of Axolotl's reporting and analytic offerings. Candidates should have broad experience in data mart and report development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ETL to build data marts from transactional data stores
  • Design and build customer facing reports and dashboards
  • Implement minor build system or production process scripting for reporting products as needed
  • Establish and enforce standards and development patterns within the BI domain
  • Assist Axolotl's support team with escalated issues in the BI domain

Requirements:

  • Minimum four years commercial development experience with ETL and reporting tools
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with data modeling principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team, including non-technical stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of software development processes and industry best practices
